We don't often see the preparations racers make to return home. Team Dacron and Denim had a heck of a time removing their bike mount from the boat Fighting Trousers, loaned to them by 2022 R2AK Team Fashionably Late. The block must come off so they can re-mount the engine for the return trip. We crossed the North Sea from the UK to the Netherlands on the 3+4 February 2022! It was a 33 hour sail trip, including 14 hours of night sailing. To experience how this is, I made a 25 seconds movie. So you have an idea of what you see during the night, or better: don’t see 😊. The red light is the left front of the boat and the green light is the right side of the boat. Also listen to the sound of the ship sailing in the dark! I send this movie to one of my uncles via WhatsApp and he replied, he thought his phone was broken when playing this movie, because his screen turned so dark!

Nel tentativo di entrare nel porto turistico di Catanzaro Lido la barca a vela Meridian Chaser, battente bandiera canadese, si distrugge sugli scogli del molo . La causa si puo ascrivere a diverse circostanze contrarie quali il poco fondale, la risacca , il forte vento di scirocco che rendeva pericolosissimo l'avvicinamento e principalmente ad una cima impigliata nell'asse dell'elica. Infatti in altri filmati si vede la barca procedere con il motore fuoribordo ,solitamente in uso al tender, acceso ma poco funzionale. Risultato un disperso , per altro conosciuto in loco, dove aveva sostato tempo addietro in transito con una barca diversa. Tempestivo l'arrivo di carabinieri e vigili del fuoco.
