In this video we’re sailing upwind in 35+ knots of breeze in Johnstone Strait during the VanIsle360 race with a double-reefed main sail and storm jib. A crew member is on the foredeck securing the #3 jib we had previously been flying in the short video https://youtube.com/shorts/VRAEp8M49Y4, but ripped in half. The head literally ripped right off. He is wearing a harness and tether! The sky is completely blue, but everybody is still completely soaked from the spray. Lots of sails were destroyed in that leg, including the #3 jib that is now on the foredeck. In 1914, Ernest Shackleton led 28 men into the most dangerous place on Earth — Antarctica. Their ship, the Endurance, was crushed and swallowed by pack ice. No radio. No rescue. No hope. With nothing but three small wooden lifeboats, Shackleton made an impossible decision — cross 800 miles of the world's most violent ocean to save every single man. Through freezing storms, 40-foot waves, and 16 days of pure hell — he never gave up. 28 men went in. 28 men came out. Not one life lost. This is the greatest survival story ever told. 🌊 —————————————————— 📌 Watch More Survival Stories: 🔔 Subscribe for more incredible true stories of the sea every week. —————————————————— #Shackleton #Endurance #AntarcticaSurvival #TrueStory #SurvivalStory #GreatestSurvivor #HistoryDocumentary #OceanSurvival #Sailing #Antarctica #ShackletonEndurance #TrueHistory #SurvivalAgainstAllOdds #Documentary #YouTubeShorts #Shorts #ViralHistory
