In 2011, David Copperfield installed an underwater sculpture 12 ft deep at his private island - Rudder Cay - in the Exuma Cays Bahamas for the amusement of his island guests and snorkelers. Called "The Musician", it includes a full-scale stainless steel mermaid and a replica of a Steinway concert grand piano. Sculpture artist: Jason deCaires Taylor. As a complete newbie to the sailing world, I had no idea where to start my liveaboard life and I had so much to learn. But first things first. I bought a sailboat, an old wooden ex fishing boat, build for rough seas, 40 ft long and over 15t heavy. But before the sailing life begins I have to do a lot of work, from re caulking to placing planks and wood rot, repainting and anti fouling as well as turning the whole inside into a beautiful homely living space.
