Peter Harburg’s RP 100 Black Jack continues to show good form in her preparations for the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, winning the SOLAS Big Boat Challenge on Sydney Harbour last week. In September this year the Bow Caddy Media was given the opportunity to join some of the luminaries of Australian sailing aboard Black Jack (including Tom Slingsby, Chris Nicholson and Tom Addis) for their early work-up campaign in the Whitsundays under skipper Mark Bradford. So, as a taster in the lead-up to the Boxing Day start of the great race south, here’s an on-board view of how the action unfolds on Black Jack when the breeze is up.
