Christmas in Grapevine Texas feels like stepping into a holiday movie. We explore historic Main Street during the Christmas festival, visit landmarks from the 1800s, then head to ScottтАЩs Landing Marina for a Bad Santa Boathouse pop-up dinner. The night ends recording our Christmas podcast inside glowing snow globes on the dock. History, lights, sailing, food, and Christmas magicтАФTexas style. #GrapevineTexas #TexasChristmas #ChristmasFestival #SailingIntoNirvana #ScottLandingMarina #holidaytravel @SailingIntoNirvana Website: http://sailingintonirvana.com Social: http://facebook.com/@sailingintonirvana Patreon: http://patreon.com/sailingintonirvana Fire Dragon Spices: http://piraterodneys.com _________________________________________________________ ЁЯО╡ Copyrighted music licensed from Lickd. https://lickd.co Christmas Journey (Instrumental) by Ben Parry, Garth Bardsley, https://t.lickd.co/l/VxK0Dnn9K9v Holiday Mood (Instrumental) by Ben Parry, Garth Bardsley, https://t.lickd.co/l/zovBP27jgV7 Rockin' Wizards by Christopher Ashmore, https://t.lickd.co/l/zo0Y7wJzbn6 Christmas on East Street by Terry Devine-King, Bob Bradley, https://t.lickd.co/l/72BN9P4ejrk Feel The Love (Instrumental) by William Davies, https://t.lickd.co/l/qDpPnjYye6v
You just met "The One Whose Name Must Not Be Spoken" in a Bangkok park. Seeing a 2-meter Asian Water Monitor (known scientifically as Varanus salvator) just 1 meter away is a true Jurassic Park moment in the middle of the urban jungle. But in Thailand, this giant reptile is more than just wildlife тАФ it's a living superstition. Locals call them "Hia," a word so heavy with bad luck it's used as a forbidden insult. To protect the local culture and bring fortune, we use the nickname "Tua Ngern Tua Thong" (Silver and Gold). But as a culinary anthropologist, I have to give you a warning: despite their calm look, these are apex predators. This protected species is vital to the Bangkok ecosystem, but they are dangerous. тЪая╕П WHY YOU MUST STAY AWAY: The Bite: A toxic cocktail of bacteria and mild venomous enzymes. The Tail: A powerful whip that protects their territory. The Speed: They rule both land and water with lightning reflexes. They are beautiful to observe from a safe distance, but never forget: you are in THEIR territory. ЁЯЗ╣ЁЯЗн Would you dare to stand this close to a real-life dragon? Tell me in the comments! ЁЯСЗ
