The first day of the SLYC two day event was sailed under grey skies with big breeze. The crew on the the 1/4 Tonner Purple Haze where hiking out hard in big breeze on week 1 of the frosties regatta. The lively little boat looks great going to windward in gusty conditions. The team at bottom up boats hope you are enjoying the footage from the final regatta of the 2024 sailing season.

🪢 Sunday Boat Tip [3/52] 🪢 Living on a boat means having a very endless space to store things. And the games we bought from Sweden have long since been played til boredom! So when we recently started to learn how to play Backgammon (actually on the plane to Trinidad) we started looking for a board that we could bring onboard. But our game box is full, and we didn’t really find anything good. So I started to browse the App Store and found an app that does everything that we wished for; we can play against each other offline, the pieces don’t roll away if there is a sudden wave and the dice can’t end up in the ocean… Win-Win!!! Have you tried any old school games in a digital form? What do you think about it, yay or nay 👍🏻👎🏻? Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden. Außerdem müssen wir noch lernen richtig zu segeln. Du kannst dich also schon auf die nächsten Videos freuen!
