Le Vendée Globe 2012 est la course autour du monde en solitaire sans escale et sans assistance qui passe par les trois caps, le Cap de Bonne Espérance, le Cap Leeuwin et le Cap Horn. Le départ de la course est donné des Sables d'Olonne tous les quatre ans. Les éditions précédentes ont été remportées par Titouan Lamazou, Alain Gautier, Christophe Auguin, Michel Desjoyeaux et Vincent Riou. It can be super simple to cook on a boat. Today for lunch we had Greek Salad Chop red peppers, onion, cucumber and tomatoes Add olive oil and oregano Add fresh feta cheese All portions are to your specific liking. I use half pepper, half cucumber, half onion and one full tomato for 2 servings I also have a premix of olive oil and oregano so I simply shake in the bottle and sprinkle the mixture on together. #shorts Off grid living requires attention to detail. If a towing line breaks it could mean losing a very valuable piece of equipment for those living aboard a boat. Knowing a few basic knots turned a potential headache into a minor fix. Also, setting up a redundant system saved me from having to buy a new dinghy! My advice is ALWAYS have backup lines if you tow your dinghy. Also, I should have put in abrasion guards of some sort but I didn’t! Off grid living requires planning ahead. This was a clear example of just how important that is.
