In this video we show how to stop leech flutter in a genoa by tightening the leech line. The tightening mechanism may vary from sail to sail, but the principle is the same. Tighten the leech line until the sail stops fluttering, but not so much as to cause a hook in the leech. As part of their 150th anniversary celebrations, Holland America Line's flag ship Rotterdam retraced her steps and made an Eastbound transatlantic crossing 150 years to the day after the historic first voyage. After leaving New York the first port of call was our home town of Plymouth in South West England.
