Tschüss 2 Claims IRC Super Zero Victory at the 2025 Rolex Fastnet Race Christian Zugel’s Tschüss 2 (USA70000), co-skippered by Johnny Mordaunt, has taken the win in the highly competitive IRC Super Zero division at the centenary edition of the Rolex Fastnet Race. The VO70 completed the iconic offshore course in an elapsed time of 2 days, 17 hours, and 21 minutes, crossing the finish line off Cherbourg at 05:11 BST on 29 July 2025. With a TCC of 1.617, Tschüss 2 corrected out to a final time of 4 days, 9 hours, and 40 minutes — edging ahead of high-calibre rivals including Roy Disney’s Pyewacket 70 and the 30m Leopard 3, skippered by Chris Sherlock. The win caps off an outstanding season for the former Groupama 4 VO70, originally skippered by Franck Cammas in the Volvo Ocean Race. Hey guys, I think knowing your knots is a very important part of boat life since you gotta use knots every single day - but I do know a surprisingly big number of sailors who are more the “if you don’t know how to knot, knot a lot” type! 🤪😂 I definitely always make sure to tie off my dinghy properly- you don’t wanna come back to where you “parked” your dinghy, just to find an empty spot - happens more often to sailors than you’d think. 🤣😜 But KNOT on my watch!
