We did a major refit on our sailboat, and one of the key jobs was replacing the cutlass bearings — the parts that support the propeller shafts and keep vibrations low when the props spin. To do this, we hauled the boat out of the water, dropped the rudders, pulled the shafts, and used a heat gun to loosen the glue holding the old bearings in place. Once they slid out, we pressed in brand-new bearings, reinstalled everything, and got ready to launch again! It’s one of those behind-the-scenes jobs that makes a huge difference in how smooth and reliable the boat feels underway. ✨Per creare bisogna prima di tutto vivere, altrimenti da cosa creiamo? Io sono Giulia e sto scrivendo un libro mentre vivo in barca a vela. ⛵️Oggi navighiamo tra le Isole Incoronate, in Croazia. Anche se mi ero ripromessa di scrivere ogni giorno, oggi ho deciso di usare tutto il mio tempo per esplorare questo luogo, che sono certa mi darà molta ispirazione. Dopo aver navigato per alcune ore tra le isole, abbiamo ormeggiato al moletto e siamo scesi ad esplorare la terraferma. A parte un passo sul mio diario, non ho scritto nulla, ma sono felice di aver vissuto. 🤗E ti invito a fare lo stesso. Qualunque sia il tuo obiettivo, cura prima la tua anima e la tua energia, perchè tutto quello che fai viene da lì.
