The GP70, built with 80% epoxy carbon sandwich, manages to limit its displacement to 17.5 t. This large multihull was designed to offer a very high level of self-sufficiency thanks to low consumption of onboard equipment, a large surface area of solar panels (3 kWp), an efficient watermaker and two imposing 264 US-gallon (1,000 liter) fuel tanks. On Saturday 1st February, Comanche Raider III crew members Ramon Sant Hill, Daniel Bartolo and Mark Muscat joined the Serious Fun crew. Owned by Jan Versteeg and Sally Jackson, this was this boat’s first foray in the Club’s event. Joining there were Kurt Camilleri and Paul Masters who all found this cruise to be an excellent opportunity to get into the RMYC Sailing scene and are looking forward to the next event.
