Mon Tiki got her US Coast Guard Certificate of Inspection (COI) last Friday. To celebrate we got a ukulele. Hopefully this is the first of many musical evenings on board Mon Tiki!

I grew up sailing the local waters of the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay, where we stood constant watch for other boats, crab pots, and debris in the water. Sometimes it is hard to relax. It is not until you go off the coast that you really come to appreciate the peace and solitude of sailing and the sea. You have time to enjoy your surroundings and mentally record those Moments in Time. Feel free to comment and let us know your thoughts. Subscribe and share the adventure!

In the downpour and strong winds, they missed the mooring on the first try, which is what's happening during this sequence. To read more about one family's adventures in the islands, read "Paradise Revisited: Back in the BVI" - http://features.boats.com/boat-content/2015/03/paradise-revisited-back-in-the-bvi/ For more boating videos, visit http://www.boats.com. boats.com features boat reviews, how-to videos, special features, and information about new boats, boats for sale, and boating products—usually with a dash of fun. Our reviewers test the features, performance, and specifications of each boat, searching out the hidden details for a critical evaluation. If you're shopping for a boat, we want to help you make the best choice. And if you're just looking, we'll try to make it fun too. Subscribe to receive notification of new videos.
