On a hike up to the Maunawili Falls Trail, through heat, mosquitoes and the treacherous landscape, we finally reached the Falls for a refreshing dip in ice cold water. Crystal jumped in with some coaxing, and I captured it on film.

Fast, close, breezy and at times precarious, the opening day of the first AC38 Preliminary Regatta could not have been better.....unless that is you were one of the teams suffering breakdowns, capsizes and sudden falls from grace...and there were plenty of those!
