I giorni passano e si avvicina sempre di più il secondo grande salto. Sono passati ormai 3 mesi quasi da quando siamo arrivati qui e davanti a noi abbiamo ancora quasi un mese. Un mese in cui prepareremo Julia (carena, rigging, check motore, check vele,…) e prepareremo noi! Ci aspetteranno più o meno 18 giorni tra st marteen e le Azzorre, ma il periodo dovrebbe essere uno dei migliori. Comunque, non vi perderete nulla. Come sempre, verrete con noi e seguirete da vicino i preparativi. Un abbraccio forte a tutti, la testa inizia a tornare a casa! E avremo mille modi per incontrarci tutti insieme, stiamo già pensando a qualcosa…… ma è troppo presto per parlarne!! A domani, che è SABATO! Andrea

Before we bought Adhara and became liveaboards we went on a sailing charter in Lanzarote for a week to try out if we could imagine living on a sailboat and how I’d feel about sailing in general. We did that in November of 2019 and a funny story about it is that I absolutely hated the first day! 😆 I couldn’t imagine why someone would actually enjoy sailing. I was scared, I got wet, I was freezing and I felt seasick for 6 hours straight and had no clue what a sheet is and what wind angle means. Apparent or true wind… wait, what? You guys can’t imagine the disappointment in Jans's eyes when I told him „no way in hell are we doing that“ 😂 Spoiler: the story has a good ending 😉 The second day we had the most beautiful weather and sailed around La Graciosa and Montaña Clara. I fell in love with the otherworldly landscape and raw beauty of these islands and enjoyed the gentle Atlantic swell, the idea of sailing as a means to explore this beautiful world we live on grew on me! And hey, no more seasickness! Ok Jan, I guess we’re doing it! AAHH I CAN'T BELIEVE WERE ACTUALLY DOING IT! 💙💙💙 Check out the video of our trip on our channel!
