Highlights of our week at the WSL surf comp in Tahiti. Was an insane week seeing all the pro's do their thing. Full video over on our youtube channel . SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. We found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are now sailing across the Pacific Ocean!! On pensait avancer sur le chantier… jusqu’à découvrir que les appareillages électriques n’avaient aucun boîtier étanche. Résultat : corrosion avancée à cause de l’humidité et de l’environnement marin. Sur un bateau, surtout en milieu salin, les appareillages devraient être montés avec des boîtiers adaptés et une protection conforme aux règles de l’art. On a donc : • fabriqué un outil spécifique pour élargir les cloches existantes • installé des boîtiers étanches adaptés • remplacé les appareillages par du matériel plus fiable 👉 Encore une journée de chantier non prévue… mais nécessaire pour sécuriser Horizon. #refit #electricite #catamaran #bateau #chantier #voile #sailinglife #boatprojects #lagoon42 #sailinghorizon
