The Vineyard Cup hosted by Sail Martha's Vineyard achieved Platinum Level Clean Regattas Certification. This is no easy feat, and impressively they've also become a zero-waste event, with all food sourced locally on Martha's Vineyard. Sail Martha's Vineyard has been working towards this achievement since 2010 when they started using the Clean Regattas program! Brock Callen, Executive Director of Sail Martha’s Vineyard took the stage to share where all of the delicious locally sourced food came from, and gave an incredible shout out to Sailors for the Sea!
Highlights of our week at the WSL surf comp in Tahiti. Was an insane week seeing all the pro's do their thing. Full video over on our youtube channel . SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. We found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are now sailing across the Pacific Ocean!! When you grow up surrounded by commercial fishing boats, you develop a very deep, sincere and genuine respect for these types of vessels. As a schoolboy, I used to watch fisherman head out to sea in some dreadful conditions...Some were lost at sea...Which is one of the reasons why, decades later, I volunteered for the RNLI in one of the busiest coastal S&R stations in the UK...If you love trawler, expedtion and explorer style motor yachts, then head to the link in my bio!
