Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden. Day 5 of our Christmas calendar takes us to the aft head—our little onboard bathroom that does it all! 🎄 Here’s how it works: 💧 Running water thanks to our water pump, so you can brush your teeth or take a shower just like at home. 🪥🚿 ⛵ Sit-down shower: A handy feature when the boat is moving, making it much easier (and safer) to shower under way. The biggest difference? The toilet! We use a manual pump toilet, which requires a bit of technique (and sometimes a quick tutorial for guests). 😊 Some boats have electric toilets, but we like the simplicity and reliability of our manual setup.
