Une fête de la voile, pendant 4 jours, aux îles Sous-le-Vent de la Polynésie française : telle était l’idée initiale de la Tahiti Pearl Regatta, créée par un groupe d’amis réunis depuis 2004 dans l’association Raiatea Regatta. Pari tenu. Au fil des années, la Tahiti Pearl Regatta est devenu la plus grande régate du Pacifique insulaire, et s’est hissée au rang d’événement nautique international. Ouverte à tous, monocoques et multicoques, sans limitation de taille, la ‘TPR’ est co-organisée par la Fédération Tahitienne de Voile, l’Association Raiatea Regatta et la société Archipelagoes. Elle est régie par les règles de l’ISAF (racing rules of sailing 2013-2016). Offrant un équilibre idéal entre compétition sportive et découverte festive des îles, la TPR ralliera en 2016 les îles de Raiatea, Bora-Bora et Tahaa. Sur l’eau : des parcours en lagon autour de l’île, des parcours banane ou des traversées hauturières. À terre : des animations sur le Village TPR à Uturoa (Raiatea) et bien sûr, les célèbres soirées à thème dans chacune des îles. _________________________________________________________________ Sailing News TV est la première chaîne Youtube sur la voile.
