In this video we’re sailing upwind in 35+ knots of breeze in Johnstone Strait during the VanIsle360 race with a double-reefed main sail and storm jib. A crew member is on the foredeck securing the #3 jib we had previously been flying in the short video https://youtube.com/shorts/VRAEp8M49Y4, but ripped in half. The head literally ripped right off. He is wearing a harness and tether! The sky is completely blue, but everybody is still completely soaked from the spray. Lots of sails were destroyed in that leg, including the #3 jib that is now on the foredeck. Ebbene sì. Oggi è lunedì. Quindi riprende la settimana, riprende il lavoro e riprendono le chiamate con i clienti. Dopo una giornata produttiva e piena di buone notizie lavorative, prendiamo il gommone e andiamo a fare un bagno. Planiamo a 20 nodi verso una spiaggia bianca e fine fine, ormeggiamo il gommone tirandolo sulla spiaggia e ci tuffiamo. Che mondo laggiù e che vita! Pesci di tutti i tipi! Eravamo abituati a occhiate e pesciolini, qui abbiamo colori, dimensioni e forme incredibili. Ci divertiamo a scoprire i fondali della baia subito sud di dove siamo ormeggiati e torniamo a preparare cena. Un lunedì ordinario di una vita straordinaria. Buon lavoro a tutti, -4 al weekend!
