One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, crossing the finish line at the end of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. Jazz is terminally ill with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), and is a full-time wheelchair user. After 28 days sailing around the UK and Ireland single-handed, non-stop and unassisted, Jazz arrived back at Brighton Marina around 13:30 on Monday 30th June 2025. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. These are the first images of the new Pelagic 77 sailing on the North Sea during sea trails with the crew and yard. Soon the aluminium yacht, called Vinson of Antarctica, will leave the KM Yachtbuilders yard in the Netherlands to join the charter fleet of Skip Novak in Chile. The naval architect for this and other Pelagic yachts is by Tony Castro Design from the UK.
