We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). Essenza - the meaning of the journey The journey of a couple - John Pott and Manuela Visani - respectively Australian and Italian, in the construction of their catamaran Essenza. Living an alternative life in North Queensland, in the town of Bowen, at the top of the Whitsundays Islands, the married couple shares their experience in the building process of Essenza while also working and slowing down to the simple things in life in the beautiful area of the Great Barrier Reef. They are following the design plan of the boat builder Peter Snell: a 41 foot catamaran. Their goal is to have an alternative lifestyle living aboard. The movies, once the boat is completed, will show also their very personal experience on board through life and the ocean.
