We hope you had a GREAT first week of 2022. It's been a fantastic one on Blown Away with Brown's daughter on board. We have been exploring and enjoying the beauty of the Exumas. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. We have much to learn as we travel the world on our floating home and we intend to document that journey and share it with you. We are so glad you have decided to join us, and we hope that you will find our story so compelling that it will inspire you to chase your dreams too! C’è il puro di cuore, il pirata, il ragazzo che insegue l’avventura. Sembra l’inizio di una barzelletta, invece sono gli ingredienti per un’esperienza che cambierà la vita di tre ragazzi dai capelli salati e la pelle abbronzata. Così inizia la nostra giornata. Pancia piena e cuore che si espande. I piani ci riportano a bordo, a mollare ancora una volta le cime d’ormeggio, a sistemare nuovamente i parabordi al loro posto in un gavone. Con la prua su Lipari sentiamo casa avvicinarsi. Il pranzo è da trofeo: Giuseppe ha un vero talento e ci racconta la storia dei suoi esordi con la cucina. Tuffo in un’acqua che sembra una piscina, poi ci mettiamo al lavoro. Chi ha partecipato alla diretta ha potuto scoprire che lavoriamo con easysea, un’azienda di accessori nautici dai principi puri e dall’animo innovativo. Parti quando o barco ficou pronto o bastante e quando chegou a hora. Por que teria ficado? 🇫🇷 Ils me demandent : « Pourquoi suis-je venue ? » Cet endroit est différent de ce que j’avais imaginé, les problèmes sont différents et les plaisirs aussi. Je suis partie parce que rester n’était pas la seule solution, je suis partie parce que la destination future donnait un sens au présent, je suis partie parce que c’était possible, je suis partie pour ceci et cela et pour d’autres raisons que je ne peux pas expliquer. Je suis partie quand le bateau était suffisamment prêt et quand le moment est venu. Pourquoi serais-je restée ? 🇺🇸 They ask me: Why did I come? This place is different from what I imagined, the problems are different and so are the pleasures. I left because staying wasn’t the only way, I left because the future destination gave meaning to the present, I left because it was possible, I left for this and that and for other reasons I can’t tell you. I left when the boat was ready enough and when the time came. Why would I have stayed?
