Our dinghy is finished. Valerie spent hours sanding off the old glue. And then every seam went at once. That's the point where repairing stops making sense. So for two months now: the kayak. Every shop run, every water canister, every walk for the dog. Fifteen minutes each way. Some days the bay is glass. Some days it's a fairground ride with the shopping in the front. Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden.
