At the 44Cup Scheveningen, we had two rising stars join our media team for the week and they absolutely delivered. With part of our crew sidelined by sickness, @conan_sailing_photography_ and @byzoomers stepped up as official event photographers. Guided by @sailingenergy, they produced awesome content that captured the energy of a hectic event. The 45′ Downeast Cruiser Doghouse was designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built by New England Boatworks in 2005. She is capable of long-range cruising, yet is simple enough to be an effective weekender. Some of her many features include a shallow-draft, seakindly hull, planing speeds, extensive sound insulation, redundant equipment, and low maintenance. She was designed as a Downeast-style yacht above the waterline, with a modern chined planing hull, moderately-deep propeller tunnels, and centerline skeg to protect the props.
