Wir waren auf einem kleinen Weihnachtsmarkt in Sardinien – ganz anders, als wir es aus Deutschland kennen. Es gab keine Verkaufsstände, keine Geschenke zu kaufen. Stattdessen drei Hüpfburgen für die Kinder, Zuckerwatte und Maronen vom Feuer. Essen und Trinken war kostenlos, wer wollte, konnte etwas spenden. Alles wirkte entspannt. Kein Gedränge, kein Stress. Die Kinder hatten richtig Spaß – und wir auch. Manchmal merkt man: Für ein bisschen Glück braucht es gar nicht viel.

Life on board quickly settled into a rhythm of swimming, playing on the catamaran's trampoline and relaxing while watching the sunset. Ashore, the children loved meeting the monkeys of Koh Phi Phi Don - even if these macaques, who come down from the surrounding jungle to scavenge for food from the tourists, can be a bit unpredictable. Our cruise was much more than a vacation, it was a timeless interlude where kids and grown-ups shared some unique times together. Partirà domani, giovedì 30 maggio alle 13.00 ora locale (20.00 UTC e 22.00 ora italiana), la prima edizione della CA 500, da San Francisco a San Diego! Siamo molto contenti di partecipare a questa regata, è un perfetto allenamento per la Transpac e un’ottima occasione per navigare contro i nostri concorrenti. Sarà per noi una regata sperimentale, non vediamo l’ora di provare le nuove configurazioni e gli ultimi assetti sia dei foil e dei timoni, sia del piano velico. Abbiamo intenzione di gareggiare con un atteggiamento nuovo: più orientati a massimizzare le performance di volo di Maserati Multi 70 e meno preoccupati di controllare cosa fanno i nostri avversari. Per le prime 12 ore di regata sono previsti 25 nodi di vento da NW, con raffiche fino a 30 nodi.
