We are celebrating two massive milestones this weekend! Not only is it Memorial Day weekend, but it’s officially our 3-year anniversary as a sailing couple. To celebrate, we traded our usual dock for the historic, resilient shores of Galveston Beach, Texas. In this episode, we’re remembering the roots of the island and the holiday. From the solemn Civil War origins of Memorial Day to the Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier, this island is a monument to the human spirit. Of course, no trip to the coast is complete without savoring the lifestyle. With code0 and full mainsail in light winds boat speed almost reaches wind speed. Will try to do more test sail on different angles and sail setups to reach that wind speed :) New and more accurate electronics (B&G) installed on the boat. This should help to make better measurements in the future.
