Intro zu unserem YouTube-Video "Gestrandet auf Ærø. Wie ein Sturm unseren ersten großen Südsee-Törn stoppte". Moin! Wir sind Rika und Johannes aus Hamburg. Zusammen mit Rikas Schwester Julia hat uns vor ca. vier Jahren das Segelfieber gepackt. Seitdem ist die Hamburger Außenalster unser Heimatrevier. Hier liegt unser Kielzugvogel „Knysna“ [ˈnaɪzna] (benannt nach einer Stadt in Südafrika), den wir uns im April 2021 zugelegt haben. Während der Wintersaison der letzten beiden Jahre haben wir uns step-by-step dem Refit unseres Vollholzboots gewidmet. Ein bis dahin völlig unbewandertes Terrain für uns, aber: man wächst an seinen Herausforderungen. Neben der Außenalster zieht es uns immer wieder an die Ostsee, insbesondere die Dänische Südsee mit ihren kleinen Inseln und dem teils kristallklaren Wasser hat es uns angetan — das perfekte Revier, um die eigenen Segel-Skills Stück für Stück zu erweitern.
