Going Aloft! Scaling A Mast on our Sailboat! After two months, our mast has been stepped on our sailboat and this is the final ascent! Going Aloft for the final time! Kent Morrow from North Sound Rigging in Anacortes was a rock star Rigger. We converted from rod to wire--and he was super professional and so much fun. And now, our new adventure is upon us! We live in New Zealand and Cyclone Gabrielle formed just south of the Solomon Islands and tracked down the East Coast of New Zealand in February 2023. Whilst we were very fortunate to make it through this experience unharmed, Cyclone Gabrielle caused widespread devastation in our home town of Hawke's Bay and along the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand.
