On Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 as the sailboat fleets made their way in from the evening races, they were glad to beat the thunderstorm that was coming in from the west. Just at dusk eye witnesses saw a lightning bolt hit a 30 ft ketch swinging on a mooring in McKinley harbor, downtown Milwaukee. " It lit up like a Christmas tree" was how one observer described the event. This video shows how the Yanmar engine options looks in the engine bay. We are going with the 37 HP Nanni engine in Mira. We are doing this because it is about 100 lbs lighter, much simpler and, as per James, outperforms the Yanmar option. More to come on the Nanni option.

Aquí os contamos todo lo que usamos para una travesía o singladura! Libros, APP,... Al final, piensa que has de mirar todo lo que puedas, para que tu travesía sea lo más segura posible. El mar, es algo que no controlamos, porque dependes de las olas, el viento, el sol,...todo lo antiguo, la NATURALEZA. Y esta a veces, es impredecible. Piensa que un barco, no es un coche. Eso es algo que a muchos, se les olvida. Haz todo lo posible SIEMPRE, por tu SEGURIDAD y la de los que te acompañen. Buena proa, buena mar!!!
