. . #sail #sailing #sailing_lasonambula #velero #catamaran #sailboat #paradise #caribe #carib #navegaravela #navegarporelmundo #travel #sailingaroundtheworld #playasnorkeling #paradiseawaits #viento #bimini #sails #barco #barcos #navega #nevera #fridge #neverabarco #compresor
The modern Catamarans are made for comfort and not so much for sailing, that means they project a very large beam surface and the anchor cannot be effective with more than 15 kts of Crossing wind. To make the anchor effective you must upgrade to maybe 50 kg witch is unrealistic for this kind of boats, so make sure you protect your leeward quarter with a round fender or even better a permanent fender that can protect from any kind of accidental touch to the dock during your backing as well.
The last opportunity to qualify for the Final of the SAILING Champions League 2019 is coming up soon - the third and last qualifier which takes place in St. Petersburg, Russia, over four frenetic days from 4 to 7 July. Racing on the Neva River, amid the spectacular scenery of St. Petersburg, is a humbling experience. It’s also a challenge, with shifting winds and strong currents. There are 20 clubs from 12 nations (Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland) fighting for six places that are available for a ticket to the Final in St. Moritz in August.
Something new and exciting is coming stemming from the DNA of Southern Wind. SW100X, an "Allseas" fast-cruiser will combine all the knowledge and experience gained from the construction of nearly 40 performance sailing yachts in the 90-110 feet range. This exciting new project will complement the Southern Wind range of yachts that includes the successful SW96, SW108 and SW120. The new SW100X represents an evolution of the acclaimed SW100 and SW102 miniseries that marked Southern Wind’s success and leadership in the creation of 30m performance sailing superyachts. Stay tuned for much more to come. https://www.sws-yachts.com/
