Converting the port forward cabin into a workshop is one of the most expensive projects we’re completing while refitting our Lagoon 42 sailing catamaran. ⛵️

An ideal way to experience Greece and her many destinations is by boat. A Greek sailing vacation allows you to explore the ruins of Ancient Greece, sample some traditional mezé at friendly waterside tavernas and stop off at some of the country’s famous party islands for the best nightlife in the Med. Line-of-sight cruising and longer, more challenging passages can be explored on the Ionian Sea with light winds and warm waters. Depart from Lefkas for classic Greek island hopping, or from Corfu for some steady coastal cruising, or from our Athens Zea base as the ideal launchpad for trips into the Cyclades and wider Saronic. We just crossed the Panama Canal on Zambezi, and let’s just say… it’s not a lazy Sunday sail. Here’s what caught us off guard: ⛵️ Your boat is not important. You’re just a tiny dot next to the big container ships. Be prepared to get moved around to fit the schedule. 💪 Your line handlers need muscles. The chambers fill fast, the current pulls hard, and keeping the lines tight is real work. Don’t skip arm day 😉 🧑‍✈️ You need to know how to steer in currents. Between the water rushing in and the 300-meter cargo ship powering up in front of you, your rudder needs a steady hand. Now that we’re through the Canal, we have “only” 2,800nm left to sail to our final destination in Canada. Should be doable by September, right? Stay Salty!
