Ben van der Steen and Luca Spindler blasting around the Campo de Futbol waters in Tarifa. Both guys are using the Loftsails 2023 Racingblade, designed by the man himself Monty Spindler. Racingblade continues to spearhead evolution of the Loftsails racing program. Lightning acceleration, blistering speed, and rider control are what really count on the fin racing course. Previous seasons saw significant improvements to the core design through higher aspect-ratios, reshaped luff curves, and profile-depth adjustments. These changes improved acceleration, reduced rider fatigue, and made the sails feel lighter in the hands. 2023 development continued to focus on further improvement of these key design parameters. One of our first projects involving sailing was back in May when we approached Irish Offshore Sailing to help them with a short promotional video. Unfortunately the only day which we could film on due to time constraints happened to have next to no wind. We headed out anyhow and put together a short video before they headed off on the Volvo Round Ireland Race later that month.
