Incidente durante unas practicas Per debido al enganche con una boya suelta en medio de la bocana del puerto. El pasado sábado 11 de abril hemos tenido un incidente durante las prácticas del PER después del descanso del medio día saliendo del puerto Badalona. Afortunadamente no ha pasado nada y todo resultó una experiencia de la que hemos de aprender. Hemos de tener en cuenta que una embarcación a motor se pierde el gobierno cuando su hélice se engancha con algo. Por ello es muy importante cuando se navega cerca de la costa evitar engancharnos a cualquier cabo que se encuentre en nuestro camino, ya que si esto ocurre apenas tendremos tiempo para reaccionar y las olas nos llevarán a la playa, como ocurrió en este caso. El patrón ha de estar muy atento para evitar que esto pueda ocurrir, ya que si se presta atención es totalmente imposible que esto suceda. Si por cualquier razón ocurre hemos de saber que disponemos de poco tiempo para tomar la mejor decisión, no más de 10 minutos y si tomamos la decisión equivocada el barco se irá irremediablemente a la playa, sin riesgo para sus tripulantes, pues no tienen más que saltar al mar y bajar a la playa, pero con gran riesgo para el barco, pues podemos romper el timón y provocar daños al caso si en la playa hay rocas. Si se navega en una lancha a motor con dos motores no hay problema porque siempre se tiene un segundo motor para salir, pero si es un barco con un solo motor, la mejor opción es echar rápidamente el ancla y llamar por VHF al puerto para que vengan a hacer un remolque. No es una perfecta solución, pues el ancla a pocos metros de la playa apenas tendrá tiempo de agarrar y acabaremos en la playa si hay oleaje, pero no tenemos otras opciones. Si navegamos en un velero echar el ancla no es una buena opción, ya que el ancla provocará que la popa del barco se quede mirando a la playa y al garrear el velero con las olas acabaremos en la playa y lo primero que tocará será el timón se romperá. La mejor opción en un velero es poner rápidamente la vela de proa y tratar de salir a vela de la bocana hacia el exterior del puerto. En este caso habría resultado muy fácil porque teníamos viento de levante y la orientación de la salida del puerto de Badalona es de sur. En este caso, al tratarse de unas prácticas de motor, el velero no llevaba la vela de proa montada en su enrollador, no pudieron utilizar este recurso y el barco acabó en la playa. Por suerte estaba cerca el barco de la Guardia Civil del Mar que echó un cabo al velero y pudieron salir de la playa. Afortunadamente todo acabó en un susto y en una experiencia que seguro recordaremos y pondremos todos los medios para evitar que vuelva a ocurrir y si ocurre estaremos mejor preparados para salir de una situación de este tipo, sin embarrancar en la playa. Me avisaron del incidente nada más ocurrir y navegué en la embarcación neumática de la Escola Port Barcelona desde el Port Olímpic a Marina Badalona y justo al llegar ya se había realizado el rescate de la embarcación de la playa donde había varado. Les agradecí a la Guardia Civil y los marineros de Marina Badalona su labor en el rescate de la embarcación y pude grabar este video corto donde se ve claramente la boya que provocó el incidente y la plata donde varó el velero.
