As part of readying our sailboat for a hurricane season of storage in the Trinidad shipyard post haul-out, Tynan went up the mast to bring down the wind instruments. It's just a normal part of boat life that we do to reduce unnecessary wear and tear on these invaluable marine data instruments. ______________________________________________ https://www.travelsketchsailing.com/ ☝ Check out the website for more info on us, the places we go and products we use 📷 After backpacking Asia, road tripping Europe and doing a bit of van life, we’re now exploring the world aboard our Leopard 45 catamaran. 🎶 Music from Artlist ➼ Get yourself 2 months free with a subscription https://artlist.io/Telicia-1577425 #liveaboardlife #sailinglife #Catamaran #trinidad #trinidadandtobago #boatlife #sailing #shipyard #yachting #yachtlifestyle #diy #nomadiclife
This is not a regular video. This week's video is here: https://youtu.be/pEe5hoCAza0 1. We are going to the @annapolisboatshow this year, and we are so excited! Use our coupon code 23SAILABS to get a $5 discount. The code is valid until October 11th, 2023. If you can believe it, this is Mads first-ever Annapolis boat show, so we’re going to have to show him a good time 😉 2. We are having a Charleston meet-up on Sunday, September 3rd, at 2 p.m., at @holycitybrewing 1021 Aragon Ave., North Charleston, SC 29405 If you're in the area, we can’t wait to see you there! 3. Last but not least, we will be driving from Georgia to Annapolis and are looking for a few boats to see on our drive up. If you know of any older boats around 50-60ft collecting dust somewhere, please let us know! We’d love to check it out 👍 Thanks guys 😊 see you 👋
The finish to Race 3 of the annual Narrows Regatta on Strangford Lough was a quick reach to the finish after the breeze picked up and pivoted 180 degrees. It was next to impossible for the J109 GTR to match it with the VX1 Sports boats which blasted past on the way back to Portaferry. The leading VX1 was in complete control as it fought to stay flat while keeping the spinnaker up to avoid having to drop which would have made for a much slower run to the finish. The J109 GTR could not compete in this race but went on to take the overall series win with a consistent performance across the weekend. The team at Bottom Up Boats hope you are enjoying these quick bits from the 2024 racing on Strangford Lough Northern Ireland.
