The new SW108#01 Hybrid construction process is proceeding at full speed. The yacht’s forward and side deck have been pulled out of the mold and flipped over. They are ready to be joined to the central coachroof and then dry fitted to the hull. With inner and outer skin in carbon and epoxy resin and a corecell core, this carbon masterpiece grants the stiffness required to this important part of the yacht To learn more about the new SW108 Hybrid click here https://www.sws-yachts.com/yachts/sw108/
This one goes out to our AMAZING crew! 🙌 Our deckhands and bartenders work hard to keep you safe, smiling, entertained, and having the best time on the water. If they made your trip extra special, show them a little love with a well-deserved tip. 💙 Can we get an AMEN from everyone who agrees? 🙌 #IslandTimeSailing #PanamaCityBeach #PCBFlorida #BoatLife #BestCrew
After what feels like weeks of waiting, we are finally putting some miles under the keel again. We're on our way to Guna Yala (the San Blas islands), sailing upwind along the North coast of Panama. We haven't done a great deal of upwind sailing on this voyage so far, but that's about to change - Antigua is 1000 miles directly upwind, and the Caribbean trade winds are strong, squally, and often bring big seas. Today is good practice for us, beating into a relatively comfortable 15 - 18 knots with moderate seas, 2 reefs in, 5 - 6 kn boat speed, and ironing out all sorts of little issues that come up.
