We LOVED the Antares 44 when we reviewed it a few years ago, but there were some issues we just couldn't work with such as the cockpit design and lack of ventilation. Gusty winds returning from the Little Choptank river forced us to put two reefs into the main but that did not slow us down. We cruised home to Solomons averaging 8 knots and hitting 9.5+ knots in the gust. It was a great sail and allowed us to iron the wrinkle out. :)
