What great footage! We had the opportunity to capture a Windelo 54 Sport and a Windelo 54 Yachting gliding through the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. As you know, Windelos are real sailing boats, light and fast, built to hoist the sail even in a light wind (starting at 3 knots). You can also see the difference in design and aesthetics between the Sport and Yachting versions. Kiel war der Startpunkt des The Ocean Race Europe 2025 – und setzte gleich zu Beginn ein eindrucksvolles Zeichen. Fünf Tage lang verwandelte sich die Kieler Förde in eine Bühne für Hochsee-Segelsport, gelebten Meeresschutz und ein internationales Miteinander. Zwischen dem 6. und 10. August kamen hunderttausende Menschen an die Kiellinie, um die IMOCA-Boote aus nächster Nähe zu erleben, die Crews bei spannenden Showrennen und dem großen Leg Start anzufeuern und Teil eines außergewöhnlichen maritimen Festivals zu sein. Fast die Hälfte aller Besucher*innen des gesamten Rennens war schon in Kiel dabei – ein starkes Zeichen für die Bedeutung der Stadt Kiel im Segelsport. A behind-the-scenes update from us at SailingBritican! We had to pivot our lifestyle when our daughter decided that land life was calling her name. Kim & Sienna are in North Carolina enjoying air con/heat, Amazon deliveries, fast food, and family. I'm continuing our Sailing Lifestyle Experiences (previously Britican Experiences) on a 50' Catamaran in the Caribbean. And Britican is up for sale. So far, everything is going well.
