Once in a while, you should leave the water and explore the mountains! When we sailed along the Costa del Sol, we saw the mountains on the coastline becoming higher and higher. The Sierra Nevada in the South Spain means 'snowy mountain range' in Spanish. From our catamaran we saw the snowy peaks in the distance. In the harbor of Almerimar we rented a car for a day and had an amazing trip through the Sierra Nevada. A lot of sunshine, little white villages and always a view on the water as well. After the Alps, this is the highest mountain range in Europe, with a total of 16 peaks above 3000 meters.

Our favourite Island in the Caribbean, Petit Tabac, in the Grenadines. This is the famous place where Johnny Depp dug out his bottle of rum in the Pirates of the Caribbean. Check this out! In 2014 we managed to materialize our dreams and traded a land based home in Poland for a permanent life on the ocean aboard our dearest new home - sailboat "Poly".
