De två hälfterna (grindarna) hålls ihop med snedstag till kölstockarna och med plankor med klossar på. Spikar fast snedstagen med 100 mm spikar, som jag slår in en bit och sedan kröker så de är lätta att dra ut på våren. Två hål för spikar i varje stag. Plankorna under har bara klossar i ytteränden, de hindrar grindarna från att rotera runt snedstagen. Ena hållet håller klossen emot och andra hållet själva plankan genom grindens lutning. Enda kända bristen är att det inte finns någon snabbjustering av tryckplattorna. Vore smidigare att snabbt kunna grovjustera och sedan finjustera med den gängade delen.

The 2021 Rolex Sydney Hobart Race started on Boxing Day, December 26th off Sydney Harbour, Australia. The 628.0nm race goes south and finishes at Hobart, Tasmania. Sweeping overall corrected time honors among the Doublehanders was Jules Hall and Jan ‘Clogs’ Scholten on the J/99 DISKO TROOPER- CONTENDER SAILCLOTH to gather the top prizes in Doublehanded IRC, ORC, and PHS Divisions. Remarkably, the J/99 DISKO TROOPER also won ORC Overall for the fleet (fully-crewed + doublehanders) by over 3 HOURS!
