Sunshine and a steady 6 knots to 8 knots of breeze breeze greeted the competitors for Race 3 of Strangford Lough narrows regatta. GTR has some ground to make up after dropping back to mid fleet. With the angle free but not free enough to fly the spinnaker it was the perfect moment to deploy the Code Zero. With the both sails set and trimmed in GTR was doing two to one over its nearest rivals which allowed them to eat into the lead and eventually take the race win. The team at Bottom Up Boats hope you are enjoying our short bits from the 2024 racing season on Strangford lough.
