Voor het 4e jaar op rij, bied ik de Award winnaars van branchevereniging Develhub, een dagje zeilen aan op de catamaran. De Award winnaars van 2022 kwamen op 1 april 2023 samen in Stavoren om elkaar beter te leren kennen, een heerlijke lunch te eten op de catamaran en daarna op het IJsselmeer te zeilen. Did you know that on board a Windelo, you can run the air conditioning using ONLY renewable energies? Many of you plan to sail in a tropical hot and humid climate, and you hesitate to install an AC on your boat. Even though our catamarans are built to have ample airflow throughout the boat, you might still seek even more comfort. You will be pleased to learn that, on your Windelo, you can run your AC from batteries (without using the genset!). Both models of New Windelo (the 50 and the 54) offer you enough solar power to run it from renewable energies, not using a drop of fossil fuel or plugging into shore! If you were, last week at the Miami International Boat Show, you had the opportunity to visit Joules, a New Windelo 50. But did you know that Joule produced its energy during the show thanks to the solar panels (an average of 3.4 kWh) and consumed 1.3 kWh of energy (leaving a positive balance of 1.6 kWh)? It is interesting to point out that this consumption also included the AC, fridge, and freezer! So, with the New Windelo, when choosing the AC option for your more tropical adventures, your energy will still come solely from renewable resources! Whenever you search for even more energy, activate the hydro-generation when you are sailing under sail, and you can also choose the wind turbine(s) as the energy source. Vous êtes nombreux à envisager de naviguer en zone tropicale avec un climat chaud et humide, et hésitez à installer une climatisation sur votre bateau. Même si nos catamarans sont construits pour offrir une circulation d'air suffisante dans tout le bateau, vous recherchez peut-être encore plus de confort. Vous serez heureux d'apprendre que, sur votre Windelo, vous pouvez faire fonctionner votre climatisation uniquement à partir de vos batteries (soit sans utiliser le groupe électrogène !). Les New Windelo (le 50 et le 54) vous offrent suffisamment d'énergie solaire pour que la climatisation et vos éléments de confort fonctionnent grâce aux énergies renouvelables, sans utiliser une goutte de combustible fossile et sans se brancher sur le quai ! Si vous étiez la semaine dernière au Miami International Boat Show, vous avez eu l'occasion de visiter Joules, un New Windelo 50. Mais saviez-vous que Joule était autonome en énergie durant tout le salon ? Grâce aux panneaux solaires Joule produisait en moyenne 3,4 kWh et consommait 1,3 kWh (soit un bilan énergétique positif de 1,6 kWh). Il est intéressant de souligner que cette consommation incluait notamment la climatisation, le réfrigérateur et le congélateur ! Ainsi, avec le New Windelo, en choisissant l'option AC pour vos aventures les plus tropicales, vous serez autonome grâce à votre production d'énergie renouvelable ! Et quand vos besoins d'énergie augmentent, activez le mode hydro-génération lorsque vous naviguez sous voiles, et/ou choisissez l’option éolienne(s) comme source d'énergie.
