È il primo cantiere in Europa ad aver creato un catamarano (natante) pensato esclusivamente per il diporto. Aurea Yachts propone il primo catamarano a motore con gli ingombri esterni inferiori rispetto ad un gommone (larghezza fuori tutto 3,00 m), ma con tutti i vantaggi di un catamarano. Quindi minori consumi, migliori performance, molto più spazio vivibile a bordo, ma soprattutto grande stabilità, sia in navigazione che in rada. I numeri sono invidiabili per le monocarena, in base alla motorizzazione, la velocità supera i 50 nodi, e l’autonomia è di 425 miglia (680 litri di carburante, 40 l/h a 25 nodi, 17 ore di navigazione). La coperta ha un design molto accattivante e moderno, con linee semplici ed eleganti. A bordo c’è tutto lo spazio che serve per un fine settimana in pieno comfort, con il bagno più grande della sua categoria, una cabina matrimoniale con armadio e dinette, una cucina completa e tanto spazio prendisole. Aurea 30 cabin è l’unica imbarcazione al mondo di queste dimensioni, ad avere una certificazione in categoria A (quindi senza limiti di navigazione) per 20 persone. Costruzione in infusione sottovuoto, selezione attenta della migliore impiantistica di bordo, e razionalizzazione di ogni aspetto a bordo, rendono le imbarcazioni Aurea una sintesi perfetta in un prodotto di eccellenza. Il cantiere ha presentato la prima imbarcazione durante Il salone di Cannes a settembre 2017 ed è subito stata notata dal grande pubblico, vincendo inaspettatamente il secondo premio come barca più elegante del 2017. Durante il Salone di Genova 2017 invece, la Rai ha voluto fare un servizio di prova dedicato, riconoscendola come una delle novità più rilevanti degli ultimi anni, in tutto il panorama nautico, facendo anche un servizio dedicato sul tg1 motori. Il cantiere è guidato dall’ingegnere Daniele Rizzo, noto progettista di imbarcazioni da diporto per diversi cantieri, che ha deciso di creare qualcosa di completamente nuovo. Già in costruzione, la versione Open che porta a 18 le sedute comode, con una fruibilità degli spazi anomala per queste dimensioni. Infine è già avviata la costruzione del 38’, che sarà l’ammiraglia del cantiere, che con i suoi 11,6 m di lunghezza e 4,6 m di larghezza, sarà uno dei natanti più grandi in commercio. Con tutti i vantaggi del 30’ ma con ancora più spazio da vivere in pieno confort. It is the first shipyard in Europe to have created a catamaran (vessel) designed exclusively for pleasure craft. Aurea Yachts offers the first motor catamaran with smaller external dimensions than a dinghy (overall width 3.00 m), but with all the advantages of a catamaran. So lower consumption, better performance, much more livable space on board, but above all great stability, both at sea and at anchor. The numbers are enviable for single hulls, based on the engine, the speed exceeds 50 knots, and the range is 425 miles (680 liters of fuel, 40 l / h at 25 knots, 17 hours of navigation). Currently located in Greece and registered under the Slovenian flag, this yacht has been imported into the EU in 2019 and represents a refined balance of sailing performance and onboard comfort. Design & Construction With a length of 19.00 meters (62.34 feet) and a beam of 9.10 meters (29.86 feet), the Catana 582 offers impressive interior volume and outstanding stability. The hulls are constructed from GRP with a PVC foam core sandwich, delivering a strong yet lightweight structure optimized for performance cruising and bluewater capability. Performance & Rigging Equipped with twin Yanmar 4JH3-DTE 125 HP diesel engines, each showing fewer than 1,100 hours as of September 2024, the vessel provides reliable propulsion when needed. The sailing rig features a 115 m² mainsail, a genoa, and a self-tacking jib—all replaced in 2014—as well as a versatile gennaker added in 2018 for enhanced light-wind performance. The rig is designed for experienced sailors who appreciate responsive handling and speed. The inclusion of daggerboards significantly improves upwind performance and reduces leeway, allowing the Catana 582 to sail closer to the wind and access shallower anchorages when needed. Interior & Accommodations The interior layout is designed with long-term liveaboard comfort in mind. The yacht features a luxurious owner's suite with a private head and shower, two guest cabins each with their own en-suite facilities, and a skipper's cabin currently used for storage, which can be easily reverted to crew quarters. The saloon includes a large round sofa and a custom teak table added in 2018, creating an inviting space for socializing or relaxing. The galley is equipped for spacious and easy cooking. Energy Systems & Autonomy The Catana 582 is outfitted for off-grid living with approximately 1.5 kW of solar power managed by four independent MPPT controllers. The energy storage is provided by a 480AH @ 24V GEL battery bank (replaced in 2020), and power conversion is handled by a Mastervolt Ultra 24/3500 inverter/charger installed in 2018.
