O guincho pode travar, a tempestade pode vir, mas na hora de subir no bote... ah, aí a gente dá aula! 😉 Manobra de precisão e sorriso no rosto pra mostrar que tá tudo sob controle (tava, juro! 😂). O povo duvida, mas a gente entrega o encaixe perfeito. Respeita a técnica! ⚓💃 #navegacao #panama #VidaNoMar #Velejadora #vidaabordo
LAMB PEKA SO MUCH LIKE A HANGI We can taste it just watching it. A must try while sailing in Croatia. It always takes us home, back to NZ, tastes so much like a hangi. On the islands you can also enjoy octopus peka. This Lamb Peka, one of the best we've had here in Croatia was cooked by Family Grabovac who present the life of their ancestors to their guests and mimick the old ways of living by emphasising it through tours and gastronomic delicacies, within 8 kilometres of Blue Lake, Imotski. The first few days offshore are when fatigue is at its worst—and when decision-making breaks down. Without proper rest and watch structure, even experienced sailors can make poor calls that lead to bigger problems. ⏰Printable Watch Schedules: https://bethecaptain.com/locker 📗 Get My Book: https://bethecaptain.com
A Week with Chiharu is a seven-day glimpse into the life of 91-year-old Chiharu as she spends time with her son Mitsu and me in Buren Bay, Japan. Through ordinary moments, sharing meals, singing, sailing, walking, and simply enjoying each day's adventures- I'm exploring what everyday life can teach us about aging well, community, and the art of growing older. Day 5 Today began, as most mornings do, with Radio Taiso and breakfast. Later we went beachcombing, read a little haiku, and as evening approached, experienced one of Japan's delightful summer moments—a yūdachi, a sudden late-afternoon rain shower. Rather than run for cover, Mitsu stood outside and enjoyed his unexpected shower while Chiharu looked on, smiling as she watched her son embracing the moment. What has stayed with me throughout this week is the obvious enjoyment a mother and son find in each other's company. Whether they're sailing, singing, sharing a meal, or laughing in the rain, there is a deep ease between them that feels increasingly rare—and increasingly worth noticing. Tomorrow... Day 6. About the series A Week with Chiharu follows one ordinary week in the life of 91-year-old Chiharu in Buren Bay, Japan. Rather than searching for dramatic secrets to longevity, the series pays attention to the everyday moments that shape a life well lived. #Longevity #Community #JapanSolo #HealthyAging #Japan #MotherAndSon
