🌊 Last night, the wind picked up and shifted direction, so we switched to a wing-on-wing setup—but then snap—our first pole broke! Luckily, we have a second one, and since then, we’ve been making great progress at around 7.5 knots in 20-30 knots of wind. The best part? Dolphins every single day! And thanks to Frankie’s amazing cooking, we’re eating well too. For the last 40 years, there has been a curious hole in the ASA curriculum, with ASA 101 leading directly into ASA 103. This spring, our schools will start teaching our exciting new course, ASA 102: Keelboat 2. This course is for any sailor interested in building their core sailing skills. This includes becoming more proficient at sail trim and close-quarter maneuvering. It also includes improving your crew skills and working together as a team to make your vessel move more efficiently through the water.
