The "Golden Age of Piracy" took place between the late 17th and early 18th centuries, when pirates were most active in the Caribbean, West Africa, and the American colonies. Pirates had their own language - Pirates used a language called "Pirate Speak" or "Pirate Jargon," which was a mix of English, Spanish, and other languages. It included words like "avast" (stop), "matey" (friend), and "booty" (treasure). Welcome to the Starship Bar onboard MSC Virtuosa! This is where you will find Rob, the first ever humanoid bartender at sea. We loved the Starship Bar's theming and aesthetics, and Rob was a huge hit with guests (especially younger guests who loved watching him work).
