The Mills 36 Custom - Prime Suspect - IRL 5991 beating to windward on the way to the finish line in the Harbour Race of Volvo Cork Week 2024. The Team on J109 Going to Red were a little surprised to be so close to this downwind flier towards the back end of the Harbour race. They look like they needed some more bodies on the rail and a bit more mast bend to flatten out the main. In this #short video, I practice a new (for me) Solo Sailing Docking Technique. The dock line standing by is tied off to the winch. As I slowly motor my 32 foot sailboat into the slip, I loop the dock line around the dock cleat. Then wrap the line back around the winch and the forward momentum of the sailboat will pull you snuggly into the dock. EASY!
