After being left to rot in Dublin Bay Jabberwocky was in a very sorry state. Once out of the water we could see how bad things where with half the the gelcoat on the bottom of the yacht disappearing as the power hose removed the build up of marine life from the bottom of the boat. After a quick delivery trip up the east coast of Ireland Jabberwocky sat in idle for a couple of year before the team at Bottom Up Boats acquired with a plan to bring her back to her former glory. After stripping her back to bare fibreglass the team meticulously repaired and restored every inch of this Mumm 36. If you enjoyed this short video of the transformation why not relive the complete rebuild by watch all the rebuild videos linked below. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMoCfFBA9IMV4aoN5OQImmPGJp6KWqzz8
On day 85 out of 90 in Southeast Asia, I crashed on the motorbike while filming myself. This was a gentle crash. A few minutes later, I crashed again while going downhill. The motorbike I rented had no rear brake and so I was trying to navigate the steep dirt roads with only the front brake. Any cyclist/motorcycle rider knows the danger in that... The second crash was a doozy and I bruised my knee pretty good... Still hurting a week later. (Yes Mom and Dad, I've been to both the hospital on the island, and my doctor here at Stanford. I'll be fine.)
