The J109 is a fantastic racer - cruiser competitive across all wind ranges they are super stable in big breeze which allows you to drive the boat hard even when the puffs are above 20 knots. Come on board Bottom up Boats J109 "Going to Red" in race 1 of the Quoile 2 day regatta as we blast across the bottom reach at over 9 knots. With the A4 setting perfectly the crew are in complete control of the IRC 1 race. The crew is working perfectly to keep the boat flat and fast while setting up for the drop at kite at the bottom mark. The kite trimmer was making life easy for the skipper while keeping the boat at top speed, easing the kite into the puffs and trimming perfectly as the apparent wind moves forward as the boat speed build. Well done to the Redline Racing team who over came a few issue in race 2 to finish with 2 bullets after the first day Thank to the Quoile Yacht club located on the western shores of strangford lough for putting on a great day of racing. Look for more of the same tomorrow ........

The J/70 Worlds has a new champion! Yonder (USA), the team from Newport, Rhode Island, powered by North Sails and skippered by Douglas Newhouse with Jeremy Wilmot on tactics, led from Day 1 and never looked back, clinching the world title after five phenomenal days on the Bay of Palma. The team praised their North Sails setup for providing the perfect balance of speed. "Once we switched to North, we had it all," Newhouse shared. Yonder also sported #NorthSailsPerformanceClothing, ensuring they performed their best on the water. In addition, Brutus II (GBR), skippered by Charles Thompson with North expert Ben Saxton onboard, secured 3rd place overall, finishing strong with a win in the final race. Tim Ryan’s Vamos (AUS) topped the One Pro division, while Alec Cutler’s Hedgehog (BER) and Sofia Giondi’s Wanderlust (ITA) earned podium finishes in the Corinthian fleet. With North-powered boats excelling across divisions, it’s safe to say that this regatta will go down as another incredible chapter in the #NSVictoryList. We are seeing a growth in interest in aluminium catamarans at the moment. It's definitely a trend. The Eyecat 55 is one of the more impressive launches of the past couple of years. Aluminium is hard wearing, will last longer and is strong enough for off-the-track sailing. It's also going to help your resale values and has a lower environmental impact. ▫️ This aluminium 55 footer is built in the Netherlands and has two electric motors, an aluminium hull, solar panels and a water maker, a customisable boat set up for blue water cruising. ▫️ The #1 hull was set up with twin aft helms and a forward lounge. ▫️ LOA 17.68 m LOD 16.75 m LWL 16.11 m BEAM 8.40 m DRAFT 1.60 m BRIDGE DECK HEIGHT 1.15 m DISPLACEMENT (LIGHTLOAD) 18.500 kg ▫️ eyecatamarans #aluminium #yachts #ecosailing #catamaran #multihull
