Sailing 800 miles upwind to the Caribbean might have been our best passage ever! Normally right on the nose we had a light wind close reach/close hauled passage just before Christmas when we sailed from the Bahamas direct to St Martin. With the rain coming down and the tide racing up the narrows into Strangford lough the racing in race 1 of the annual narrows series was super tight at the top end of the IRC 1 fleet. The J109 Going to Red, stays in the main flow of the tide with a great leebow that allowed them to creep out to leward of both the Mata 1010 Elixir and the Elan 37 ATALANTE. The racing stayed tight across the full 3 days of racing in the annual Narrows series. The team at Bottom up Boats hope you end ejoyed this short clip from a great weekend of racing.
