I colori dell’autunno Oggi il clima a bordo è molto autunnale, sia nel vestiario, sia nel paesaggio, sia nei pensieri. Sarà perché dobbiamo costeggiare il nord di Maiorca e il vento ci soffia sul naso da questa mattina, costringendoci a manovre scomode che allungano le miglia, già di per sè lunghe. Sarà perché questo viaggio ci sta portando a scoprire luoghi preziosi del Mediterraneo. Così delineato, Così ben definito Protetto dalla terra in quasi tutti i suoi lati. Stiamo per compiere un passo importante, quello di abbandonare il conosciuto per l’ignoto. Le coste della Spagna sono sempre le stesse, siamo noi che cambiamo, ogni giorno, ogni miglia, ogni callo e ogni scotta sistemata meglio. Your support is very much appreciated! We left Bennett’s Harbor headed for Rock Sound, Eleuthera, Bahamas Little San Salvador was bought by Holland America cruise line and renamed Half Moon Cay. It’s now a private island just for cruise ship customers. We anchored over night in Half Moon Bay where we could see the tourist area. The water is a beautiful blue over white sand. See the video. The beach is cleaned by two tractors in the early morning and the workers are ferried in before the cruise ship anchors to unload its passengers. QP did a bit of modeling and fishing before the sun went down, this is a must see video! We left early the next morning at dawn. Next stop, John Millar’s on the southern tip of Eleuthera. The first week for the season ending frosties regatta at SLYC was sailed under grey skies with big breeze. The crew on the Sigma 33 Squawk had a close cross with he Nicholson 43 Magdalene while running downwind on the final run of race number 2. The team at bottom up boats hope you are enjoying the footage from the final regatta of the 2024 sailing season.
